Our goal @ Recruit-Drive™ was simple; to empower the Nigerian employment sector (both the work force and employers) in becoming adapted to functioning with a meritocratic recruitment system.
A national work force built on meritocracy will help to eradicate the current sense of 'it is not what you know but who you know' which is currently deeply embedded in the core of most job seekers and employers in our beloved nation. For example in present day Nigeria, IF two equally qualified school leavers both desire an employment opportunity in the same company the school leaver who has the better social standing/'connections' within the company will secure the job.
Ensuring Nigeria's employment sector is restructured to hold meritocracy as its cornerstone will serve as an incentive for diligent, hard-working and qualified/fit for post employees to emerge from overseas and embrace their nation not only as expats, but as professionals and in some cases labourers who want to help Nigeria reach the economic stability which she once had. It will also aid indigenous (locally studied) Nigerians who may or may not have the same level of qualifications and/or expertise as their foreign read counterparts to have a fair chance in securing available employment positions which their skills command.
Since embarking on the "objective" above, our mission has evolved from National to Continental scope. Our 'revised' mission is now to be a world class recruitment organization starting with Nigeria, followed by Ghana and then focusing on Africa as a whole. We aspire to be THE figurehead of meritocracy on the continent as we promote a more productive and efficient workforce - and in the process connecting Nigeria's and Africa's professionals.
The company was founded by a group of ambitious Nigerians with the idea of bridging the gap that they saw in unemployment, a high caliber workforce and technology. The recession and increases in unemployment led to many talented individuals being unable to achieve their maximum potential. However we understand that companies today require more than a skilled candidate - they reach for employees who are productive, exhibit a positive attitude and have the ability to become productive members of their team.
